Betty Bracco

Betty Bracco age 86, of Waco passed away Thursday April 26, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be 9:30AM Monday April 30, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Greg Knippa officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7PM Sunday April 29, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Betty was born on June 22, 1925 in Gilmer County, West Virginia to Berkley and Nellie Barbarow. She retired from Texas Farm Bureau. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waco. She served as a greeter on Sunday mornings, was a member of the Women’s Group, and the Odell Dudley Sunday School class. Betty enjoyed baking and gardening. She always had cookies for her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward; daughter Cynthia; and son Larry. Siblings Marjorie Woofter and Berkley “Junior” Barbarow.

She is survived by grandson, Lance Bracco and wife Shonna of Crawford; Ashley Moody and husband Rob of Valley Mills; and Lesley Winget and husband David of Speegleville. Great-grandchildren Lance Bracco, Jr., Kamryn and Landon Winget, Brooke and Hayley Moody. Siblings Marie Flaherty of Parkersburg, WV; Lois Bode of Clendenin, WV; Janice Triutt of Salisbury, MD; Don Barbarow of Ripley, WV; Phyllis Ruppert of Troy, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Providence Hospice and the Visiting Angels for their compassionate care during their grandmother’s illness.
