Bernard”Bud” Smith Jr. , 55, of Waco, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 at 11:00am at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with his family will be from 6:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 at the funeral home

He was born Nov 7, 1958 in Kansas City, Mo. To Bernard and Mary Lee Powell Smith Sr. He had worked as a Retail Store Manager for many years. Bud was a member of Columbus Ave. Baptist Church in Waco.

Bud was preceded in death by his mother Mary Lee Gunter.

He is survived by his wife: Janice of Waco, three Daughters; Alison Kanak and husband Jason, Stephanie Woodard and husband John, from Mableton, Ga., and Heather Smith of Jasper, Ga. Son; Michael Green, Granddaughter, Abigail Kanak, Grandson, James Woodard all of Mableton, Ga., his father, Bernard Smith Sr. and Step Mother, Wanda Smith of McFall, Mo and Brother, Bobby Gunter of Hiram, Ga.
