Bernadine Pyburn

Bernadine Pyburn, 83, of Waco passed away Friday June 3, 2016. Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday June 9 at Beacon Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will be an hour prior starting at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Bernadine was born March 3, 1933 to Willie and Clara (Burt) Long in Hillsboro. She graduated from Mexia High School in 1950. After many years of service, Bernadine retired from ABB Randall Corporation in Houston where she worked in Purchasing. Bernadine was also employed with the Waco Regional Veterans Administration until the time of her death. She was a member of Blue Bell Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1972. Bernadine was a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting, baking, and sewing. She liked to watch the Texas Rangers and the Houston Astros. Bernadine truly loved her family and spending time together.

She was preceded in Death by her parents, husband, James S. Pyburn (Sammy); son, Randy Parrish; brothers, Walter Long and William Long; sister, Vicki Gregory; and great-great-grandson Weston Campbell.

Bernadine is survived by her sisters; Alyne Lynch, Brenda Wilson; brother; Lonny Long, daughter, Debbie Lednicky and husband Richard of Waco; son, Scott Parrish and wife, Shawntell, of Waco; grandchildren, Shanna Hicks, Chris Charanza, Brooke Parrish, Eric and wife Elizabeth Rodriguez and Tony Rodriguez all of Waco; great-grand-children, Marc Campbell and wife Mercedes, of West and Daniel Mosely of Burleson and Gavin Rodriquez of Waco; great-great-grandchild, Hudson Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bernadine is also survived by best friend of 63 years Terry Whitehead.
