Bennie Sue was born August 15, 1948 in Meridian, Mississippi to Geneva Neal Blackwell and Nathaniel Blackwell. She was kind, gentle, and loving to all. She was the oldest of seven children and her brothers and sisters all recall how much she did to care for them. She attended high school in Waco, TX and then she joined the United States Army. She was stationed In California where she met and married William H. Miller. After she married, she was injured while serving and she received an honorable discharge. She then became a military wife and lived in New York, Germany, and South Carolina. In 1989 she and Will separated. She continued her education at Midlands Technical College where she earned a degree in Medical Transcription. She was employed as a transcriptionist at Charleston Air Force Base until she retired. Shortly after she retired she moved to Blue Ridge, Georgia. She enjoyed gardening, macrame, playing with her dog Nikki, and visiting her mother.
