Ben was born on December 7, 1925 in Marlin, Texas to the late Herman and Emilie ( Hahn) Glockzin. He served honorably in the Navy from November 19, 1943 to February 23, 1946 as an aviation radioman . He married Mary Alice Ware on December 31, 1943. They were married 39 years until her death. They have three children. He met and married Pat Young in 1983 and they were married for sixteen years until her death. His last love for nine years has been Glenda Dorn. He was an extraordinary care giver, taking care of both wives during lengthy illnesses.
He was an independent distributor for Borden’s Milk for twenty years and Branch Manager for the company here in Waco for an additional 19 years. He was a kind and gentle man who loved life, his family and his creator. He enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing and cooking. Everyone looked forward to the many gatherings at Ben’s home for a barbeque or a fish fry.
