Ryan “Beau” Dobbs passed away suddenly Thursday evening, August,12,2021, at the age of 44. A visitation will be held from 12 noon to 1 P.M. Saturday, August 21, 2021, in the Chapel of Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr.; a memorial service will immediately follow at 1:00 P.M.
As the son of David Louis and Caryn Lee (Campbell) Dobbs, “Beau” was born August 8, 1977, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Shortly after, the family returned to Texas finding permanent residence in Speegleville. Growing up in the Midway Independent School District, Beau proved himself to be an exceptional athlete by playing soccer, baseball, and football. After graduating Midway High School in 1996, he furthered his education at McLennan Community College. On March 12, 1999, he married his high school sweetheart, Charla Lewis, in Hewitt, Texas.
From a very early age, Beau learned the ethics of hard work and proved himself to be a trusted asset regardless as to who was fortunate enough to employ him. Beginning in 2005, Beau served in many roles for the Lehigh Cement company ending with a promotion to the position of Maintenance Supervisor, where he served for several years.
Beau never met a stranger; his warm, authentic, and engaging demeanor was purely magnetic and would always be found surrounded by friends and family. As a man of many talents, much of Beau’s life was spent outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, welding, and fabrication, and driving big “American Muscle” trucks.
Serving as a coach and mentor, Beau instilled his love of baseball and softball into his two children, whom he loved dearly. He was an adoring, devoted husband and father who truly had the gift of a master storyteller, as it was common to see him encircled by a captivated audience of those that loved him.
Beau Ryan Dobbs is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Charla; a son, Carter Dobbs; a daughter, Caitlyn Dobbs; his mother, Caryn Dobbs-Smith and husband Clayton; two sisters, Rachel Bowling and husband Bryan, Nancy Sweeny and husband Robert, his mother-in law Beth Oakley, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
