Barbara was born July 22, 1941 to Roger Ogden and Juanita (Compton) DeCordova in West Columbia, TX. Shortly after her birth, Barbara moved to Valley Mills. She graduated from Valley Mills High School and married Elmer Jack Gatlin. The couple soon moved to Burleson. She and Jack owned and Operated a Trucking Company for many years. Barbara enjoyed quilting and maintaining her lawn on her John Deere Lawn Tractor. Jack and Barbara liked to travel and vacation in Colorado, driving the mountain trails. However, her true love was being a supportive great-aunt to her great-nieces Sally and Sarah. She would drive from Burleson to watch them compete and seldom missed any chance to see them during holidays. The girls also loved to call and talk with Barbara and they often would spend hours on the phone. Barbara loved her family and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Elmer Jack Gatlin; parents and sister, Ronita Decordova Miller.

Barbara is survived by her niece, Tracy Miller Love and husband, Lyndon; great-nieces, Sally Compton Love and Sarah Faye Love; and brother-in-law, David Miller.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Valley Mills or the United Methodist Church of Crawford.
