August K. “Rusty” Braswell of Clifton, Texas passed away at a local hospital in Waco, Texas on Tuesday July 20, 2010. Memorial Services will be Saturday 10AM July 24, 2010 at Zion United Church on Hwy 219 out of Clifton with Pastor Michael Vaughn officiating.
He was a fifth generation Texan, born in Jasper, Texas on September 29, 1928.
He is survived by his wife Patricia of 37 years; a son Kern Braswell of Tulsa, OK; daughters Emily Braswell and Hope Gatliff both of Houston; step-daughters Beverly Dart of Norman, OK and Barbara Bland of Tulsa, OK; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and many close relatives and friends. He was well known in the truck manufacturing and mining industry.
