Aubrey Marshall

Aubrey C. Marshall, 82, of Waco, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at a Local Hospital. Visitation with the family will be 5-7p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, 8220 Woodway Drive. Funeral services will be 1:00p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

He was born on May 21, 1934 in Tift County, Georgia. Mr. Marshall attended public schools and graduated from Tift County High School. He served in the US Army and taught electronics. He went to Howard Payne and received his BS in Education and then received his Masters Degree in Counseling from Southwest Texas State University. Mr. Marshall served many years as a counselor in the Seguin ISD. He met the love of his life Mary Jo McCoy on his way to church while attending Howard Payne. They married in 1959.

Mr. Marshall would start and end his day reading the Bible. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Seguin for over 50 years and then attended First Baptist Church of Hewitt for the past three years .He was someone you could go to for a solution if you had a problem. Mr. Marshall loved children of all ages and loved spending time with his grandchildren. In his spare time he loved hunting, fishing, gardening and taking his children waterskiing.

Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia Haverlah.

He is survived by his wife of over fifty seven years, Mary Jo Marshall of Waco; daughter Deborah Wooley and husband Jeff of Riesel; two brothers, Alton and Alvin Marshall of Tifton, Georgia; sister Ann Stilwell also of Tifton, Georgia; four grandchildren Megan Anderson and husband Ryan, Sarah Haverlah,Kaitlyn Wooley,and Drew Wooley; great grandson Josiah James Anderson; son in law David Haverlah;
