Arvin H. Dutschmann age 65 of Robinson passed away at his residence March 25, 2010 with his family by his side. Funeral Services will be 10:30AM Monday March29, 2010 at St Mark Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Price officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday 3 to 5PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.
Arvin was born March 21, 1945 to Henry and Lydia Dutschmann in China Spring. He married Carolyn Sielaff on March 25, 1966. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam war. He was employed by Central Freight Lines for the past 36 years as a line driver and had over 2 million miles as a safe driver. He was a lifetime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He loved watching his grandkids compete in their respective sports. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lydia Dutschmann; 3 brothers, Otto, Eddie and Winfred Dutschmann and three nephews. He is survived by his wife Carolyn of 44 years; three daughters; Cindy Lashmet and her husband Steve of Gatesville, Deanne Solberg and her husband Randy of Robinson and Amy Helpert and her husband Kirk of Robinson; Six brothers, Aubrey, Robert, Floyd, Arlan, Rayford and Marvin Dutschmann; Five Grandchildren, Clayton Lashmet, Morgan and Mason Helpert and Candace and Caden Solberg; Many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff at Texas Oncology, Dr. Carl Chakmakjian, Dr. Christen LeBlanc, and hospice nurses Elaine Hudson, Becky Goodwin and Bobby Mitchell, and to all our family and friends for their prayers and support.
Memorials may be made in honor of Mr. Dutschmann to St. Mark Lutheran Church or Providence Hospice.
