Arthur Moeller

Arthur {Art} Ray Moeller, age 81, passed away, after a short illness, on September 14, 2017 in McAllen, Texas. Services for Art will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 800 North New Road, Waco, Texas. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday, September 18, 2017 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8211 Woodway Drive, Woodway, Texas.

Art was born in Buckholts, Texas on June 21, 1936 to Frank and Viola Moeller. He graduated from Waco Tech, later renamed, University High School in 1954. He retired on December 31, 1999 after a 43 year career with Trans Texas Airways, Texas International, Continental Airlines. All three airlines eventually became United Airlines. Art was known as witty, friendly, fun-loving, devoted, and reliable by all of his friends and family.

Art enjoyed a long and happy life. He loved spending time with his family and friends watching sports or swapping stories. He enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, cooking/grilling, racing his remote controlled car, reading westerns, and following his favorite sports teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He was active in his local church and served in various capacities in his retirement community. He especially enjoyed travelling in the fifth wheel, with his wife, Genie, seeing many sights in the United States. Traveling in Germany during the Christmas season was Art’s favorite trip.

He is survived by his wife, Eugenia Geesey Moeller, his daughter, Vickie Rumrill and husband Ronald, his daughter Cynthia Thornton and husband Larry, and son Kyle Moeller. In addition, he leaves step daughter Susan Watkins, and step-sons Stuart Hulsey and Scott Hulsey. Art leaves behind the “apple of his eye”, granddaughter Jennifer Warren and husband Brandon. Art was blessed to grow up with four brothers, George Moeller {deceased}, William Moeller, Homer Moeller, and Frank Henry {Dick} Moeller.
