Anton Paltl

Anton Josef Paltl, 73, of Hewitt, Texas, passed away on January 3, 2018 peacefully in his sleep.

The funeral service will be 10am, Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. There will be a visitation starting at 9 am.

Anton was born in Vienna, Austria on June 7, 1944. When he was only three days old he was left in front of an orphanage where he grew up until it was time to pick a job, a career. He chose to become a sailor. He dedicated thirty years of his life to sailing, he was the wolf of the sea. He spoke German, Norwegian, Spanish, English, and a few words for fun in Romanian. He enjoyed reading books and listening to music such as opera, country music and polka. He had a big heart and loved to help others.

Anton was constantly learning and striving to learn. He and his wife were working on sending emails, and his last words to his wife were in an email that said, "I'm going to sleep, night, night"

Anton is survived by his loving wife, Georgeta of 18 years.

Anton is lovingly remembered by his wife Georgeta of Hewitt; his friends, coworkers and loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saint Andrew Orthodox Church, 405 Estates Dr., Hewitt, Texas.
