Anthony "Wayne" Brown

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Wayne Brown, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Memorial Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Born on December 16, 1963, in Waco, Texas, Wayne departed from this world on March 21, 2024, at the age of 60. Wayne was the son of Alice Reed and John Brown and leaves behind a legacy of love and service.
 
 A graduate of Jefferson Moore High School in 1982, Wayne excelled academically and graduated with a remarkable 3.85 GPA. Not only was he dedicated to his studies, but he also possessed a heart full of kindness and compassion, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
 
 For over 14 years, Wayne served as the head custodian at La Vega ISD and Brazos Meadows Baptist Church, where his reliability and commitment were unmatched. He found fulfillment in his role, always striving to make a positive impact on those around him, embodying the qualities of integrity and dependability.
 
 Wayne's dedication extended beyond his professional life as he devoted his time to serving others selflessly. A passionate supporter of college football, he cheered fervently for his favorite team, Alabama. Wayne's life was a reflection of his values, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
 
 Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; his children, Anthonette Brown, Charissa Brown, Kemisha Smith;  stepchild, Wayne Ussery; siblings, Nathan Brown and Benetha Hutchinson. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will cherish his memory forever.
 
 Though Wayne may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that he left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
