Anne Glasgow Whitt went to be with Jesus on April 9, 2021. A private graveside service will be at Oakwood Cemetery, with Barry Camp officiating. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.

Anne was born on August 11, 1941, in Waco, Texas. She graduated from Waco High School and attended college at Texas Christian University and Baylor. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Upon returning to Waco, she met the love of her life, Joe Bob Whitt. They were married in 1963 at St. Paul Episcopal Church in Waco. They shared 57 wonderful years together.

Anne and Joe Bob were blessed with a son, Tom, in 1968. Anne was a stay-at-home mom and was very active in all of Tom’s activities. She enjoyed being a Cub Scout mother and a member of the PTA.

She served as a local officer in Women’s Aglow and was a staunch Republican. She served as a clerk on election days and attended many county and state Republican conventions. She participated in several Bible studies and prayer groups and was a faithful member of Highland Baptist Church. Anne and Joe Bob loved to travel, and it was a delight for them to entertain in their home.

She is predeceased by her parents, Lee and Lollie (Botts) Glasgow, and her son, Tom. Her legacy lives on through her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Joe Bob, her sister, Joan Keeling, and numerous other family members and friends.

For those desiring, remembrances may be made to Highland Baptist Church Care Center Building Fund at 3014 Maple Ave., Waco, Texas 76707, or to a charity of your choice.
