Anna Lou (Judy) Dees, 80, of Hewitt, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019. A Funeral Service will be 1:00pm, Thursday, May 16 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. A visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 15th in the Grace Gardens Funeral Home Parlor.
Anna Lou (Judy) was born August, 31, 1938 in Groesbeck, Texas to Woodrow Wilson and Opal Downey Andrews. She was a 1956 graduate of Waco High School. She became a book keeper for Naman Howell Smith, Attorneys.
She married Curtis Dees and they were stationed in many places, such as Alaska, Washington, and Ft. Hood, and she got to visit many more. But home was always where her sister, Jane was. She loved to quilt, and travel with her sister, Jane. As much as she loved to go places, she was always happiest at home near her sister. Judy was a true momma’s girl.
Preceded in death by her husband, SFC Curtis C. Dees, who died in the Vietnam War; son, Mark Andrew Dees, brothers, James Edward Andrews, and Jackie Wayne Andrews.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Dawnyce Barham and husband David; sister Jane Gilmore and husband Jim; nephew, Troy Kinder; grandchildren, Taryn Rae Todd, Brittany Leigh Lenertz and husband, Jeff, Curtis Allen Reyes, and husband Adrian, John Dees, Andrew Dees; great grandchildren, Brionna, Ethan, Jason, Khloe, Joshua, Layten, and Easton.
