Anna Armand

Anna Kathryn Armand, 80, of Waco passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Bosqueville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr.

Anna was born December 8, 1934 in San Antonio to Victor and Leora Luhorn. Anna started grade school in August of 1939, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. After a short time they moved back to Texas. The family eventually settled in Buda, where Anna graduated from Buda High School. She then went into Nurses Training at Seaton School of Nursing in Austin. As part of her clinical training, she spent 6 months in New Orleans at Mercy Hospital. She met Ury Joseph Armand, Jr., and Married him after returning to Austin, Texas, in 1955.


Anna is survived by her children, Timothy Eugene Armand, Jo Beth (Armand) Fowlkes and husband Dr. Dane Fowlkes, and Brenda K Mikus and husband John; sister, Francis Scribner; grandchildren, Melissa Tilghman and husband, Matthew, Amanda Jackson and husband, Heath, and John Braden Mikus; great-grandchildren, Joseph Jackson, Bryslan Rene Holmes, Sara Kate Tilghman, Joshua Jackson, Hannah Tilghman, John Braden Mikus, Jr.
