Amalia Morales-Salazar passed away peacefully Tuesday January 24, 2023, at the age of 94. Visitation will begin at 6:00P.M. followed by a memorial service 7:00P.M. Monday January 30th at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, 8220 Woodway Dr. with Apolonio Vielma Jr. speaking.
Amalia was born July 10, 1928, in Grandview, Texas, the daughter of the late Anusasion “Sherman” and Pilar Salazar Morales. She had three sisters Dominga, Dora and Nieves, Two brothers; Tomasito and Tomas.
Mrs. Salazar eventually settled in Waco, Texas she was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and laughter. She loved to bargain shop, cook, garden, travel, walk and put on her lipstick and jewelry.
Her faith in her God, Jehovah was her main priority in life and she shared that message with everyone even in her last days.
Amalia is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years Felix Salazar Sr., sons; Jesse Salazar Sr. and Johnny Salazar, daughters; Maria Del Monte Salazar and Maria Salazar and grandson Vinsont Anthony Salazar. She is survived by her children, Felix Salazar Jr., Pete Salazar Sr., Cynthia Fuller, Gavino Salazar Sr. and Samuel Salazar Sr. She had twenty one grandchildren that referred to her as Ama, Mamasita, and Wuelita. Mrs. Salazar also had numerous great grandkids and few great great grandkids. Also, many nieces and nephews.
Amalia’s family would like to send their appreciation to all who called and visited to encourage her during her life and through her illness.
