Ada Schwakhofer

Ada L. Schwakhofer of Waco passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Hillcrest Hospital. Graveside service will be Monday, July 16, 10AM at Waco Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Robert Buchanan presiding. Visitation will be Sunday, July 15 from 4 to 6 PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Ada was born April 10, 1948 in El Paso, Texas to Bill and Anabel Greer. Ada’s father was a career military man, so home was where ever her dad was stationed. After graduating high school, she moved with her parents to Ft. Benning, Ga., where she met her husband, another career military man. More relocating followed, until permanent residence was established in 1991 in Waco, Texas. She worked at the Waco Board of Realtors from 1991 to 2007 taking care of multiple listings for Waco and the surrounding area.

Ada was a loving and caring wife and mother with a sparkling personality and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Bill and Anabel Greer and her mother-in-law, Joyce Moore.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Chuck Schwakhofer, her son, Shane Zolin, her brother, James E. Greer and wife Pam, her brother-in-law, Mickey Schwakhofer and wife Debbie.
